NAPOLEONS BONES

Napoleons bones, taste like ice cream cones
They're so very rich in calcium
His bones taste so yummy
Like those of his mummy
No wonder all parents adore him
All mamas know that every kid is a dupe
They're made to eat Napoleons bones in their soup
They're meant to make children, sturdy and strong
Go on....there goes the supper gong!!

Nicole Anne Braganza age 15 from Bombay, India

THE HUMAN-APPLE

Standing next to other children
Brian looked the same,
But he was in fact a weirdo
With an apple for a brain!

As rumours grew throughout the town
The townsfolk queued with glee
To glimpse the human-apple weirdo
Hanging off a tree!

He dangled from one stork-like leg
Until his face went rosy red,
Then, thinking the time was juicy-ripe,
Let go and cracked his bulbous head!

By Richard Yates from Essex

DANCER

I know a lively sort of fellow,
He dances, he leaps, he dazzles.
I find his appearance beautiful,
Others flee from his appearance.

He is a good fellow.
He brightens my day and my night.
There are some that are strong,
And they fight him, but I know
That they will eventually be consumed
By his elegance and his power.

by Mike Rose age 16 from Phoenix AZ

A Victim

Once and again...
The darkness
needed a victim
so young
so absurd
she was innocent
But the world is cruel
and we all live in it

Think about
what is left behind
think about
all the tears that will be cried
consider the consequences
and die
in the same cruel world am I

I don't believe you
it can't be true
what is wrong with you
so young so innocent
it is absurd
But this world just can't get enough

by Ditte Jepsen, age 16 from Denmark

KEEP STRONG

Keep strong
Don't let them see your hurt.
Don't let them see you cry.
Remember to stay just as strong,
and the pain will pass you by.
Their words mean nothing to you,
because you mean so much to me.
Their laughs may be cruel and harsh,
but you can run to me.
Always keep your strength,
and never start to cry.
I will keep your love,
but never let you die.

Lilly Gradsmith, age 16 from Eagle Point

My Angels

I lay on the grass and look up to the sky
So many angels are dancing as they look down to see me cry.
The touch of their hands and the smell of their skin
Makes me feel so much warmth as my soul burns within
Their singing voices makes you want to sleep
Smile and be happy for thou need not weep

Maria Louise Wiffen from ENGLAND

I Love You More Than Words Can Say.

I love you more than words can say.
You are the one for me more than you can see.
I only wish I can be by your side.
You’re the only one that makes me feel alive.
You know the words I speak to you are true.
Because I am in love with you.
I’m still not sure what I done to deserve
A lady like you.
You know I’ll always be true.
You are a flower in a garden.
You are the sun in the sky.
You are the air I breathe
I’ll never leave you till the day I die.

Aaron Morris, age 18 from Plymouth in England

FROM THAT MAN ABOVE........

We are brought into this world for a reason
To smell ,touch and see the change of season
To learn right from wrong to be happy and strong
To prepare our little hearts for the everyday pain
To learn to love who we are and not to feel any shame.
To learn that we are sent with so much love
And it was all sent to us from that man above .

Maria Louise Wiffen from Bicester in England

* BROTHER *

You’re the sunshine when I awake,
Wishing I could hold you every each day,
You’re the star when I go to sleep,
A brother that is very special to me,
One to talk to,
One to lean on,
A best friend forever and beyond,
You opened my eyes when I couldn’t see,
You’re a brother that I really don’t have,
But still without you there would be no me.

Aaliessandria age 14 from Massachusetts

*MY LUV*

I made a promise to be with you,
You’re my first love and yes that’s true,
This relationship can lead to many great wonders and discoveries,
But it all relies on you and me,
Never wanting to say goodbye,
I’ll always stand and stay by your side,
For better or worst,
I’ll still choose you first,
Your like an angel that comes wrapped in love,
It shines with a heart so true
The joy it brings grows day by day,
That blessed gift is you.

Aaliessandria age 14 from Massachusetts

Candy Coated Difficulties

I hate the way you ignore problems
push them away as if they don't exist
underestimate my intelligence
You forget how old I really am
You sugar coat everything
make the world a candy shop
and it makes my blood boil
Just face them
chase your fears away
it's just around the corner
you will rest at ease

Kelly Hart age 14 from the USA

WHERE WERE U ?

Where have U been
I've been looking for U
I looked everywhere
Didn't know what to do
I looked in the backyard
I looked in your room
Just where U were hiding
I couldn't assume
And just when I wanted
To throw a big fit
I found U after T
In the alphabet!

Nicole Anne Braganza
from United Arab Emirates

In Time You Will See

In time you will see that we're a match
If you strike us a spark a flare
and it will turn into a flame
A flame so powerful
A flame so bright and so strong
that it can burn through anything
Nothing will stop us
In time you will see

Kelly Hart aged 14 from the USA

The Red Rose

The Red Rose is beautiful
its beauty is from you
The Red Rose smells good
because like the red rose
you smell really good too

Kerri Baker from Fayetteville

I'll Be There

When life is hard,
When you think the world has turned against you,
When everything is so overwhelming,
When your carrying a heavy load.
I'll be there to ease life up,
I'll help you realize the world has not turned against you,
I help you carry your heavy load,
I'll help you figure out what's so overwhelming,
I'll be there when you need a shoulder to cry on,
I'll listen to your problems,
I won't criticize instead I'll help you figure out the answers,
I'll always be there for you,
you can count on me.

Shannon Marie Austin age 15, North Bend High School
United States

I Once Was Lost But
Now I Am Found

I was lost with my wandering mind, in search of a
place where I find sunshine. Praying to see if someone
can hear me, in search of the goodness that was once
in me. Then I closed my eyes and started to rest, I
ask God help me, my life's such a mess. I felt this
warm feeling inside of me, I thought for a moment
God healed me. I once was lost, but now I am found.
The power of God had turned me around.

Cynthia Jimenez from Brooklyn

The Darkside

He sits, thinking about it over and over again. Torturing himself, why didn’t he stop it? Reviewing the incident over and over. If only he had acted sooner he could have stopped it couldn’t he?
No, nothing could be done; no one can escape from The Darkside

She lies, tossing and turning in her sleep. She’s had the same dream night after night, reliving the incident, over and over as it haunts her. If only she had acted sooner, she could have stopped it, couldn’t she?
No, nothing could be done; no one can escape from The Darkside.

. Long after everyone else had gone, they stand looking into the hole, the organ music still playing in their minds. If only they had acted sooner, they could have stopped it couldn’t they?
No, nothing could be done; no one can escape from The Darkside.

I lie, buried underground in my wooden box, thinking of the incident.
Years pass and the world has been destroyed. I try to figure out what went wrong. If only we had acted sooner, we could have stopped it couldn’t we?
No, nothing could be done; the world could not escape from The Darkside.

Steven Lockey from the UK, age 14

DARKER LIGHT

Everlasting?
The Death of an era is coming,
It will pass us by and we will not notice.
This world is changing,
This world is dying.
Your God is changing,
Your God is dying.
The death of an era is coming,
And it will vanish with sweet everlasting pain.
We cannot last forever,
We, the human race are the era,
And the death of an era, is coming.

Oli, age 18 from Kent, England
